CIBHS is committed to advancing equitable behavioral health services, with a focus on improving access, enhancing quality, and achieving better outcomes. Through our tailored training and technical assistance, we support the implementation of behavioral health initiatives that drive systemic transformation. CIBHS leads complex strategic planning processes and facilitates county and statewide collaboratives and communities to counter structural racism.
Our approaches include:
- Identifying barriers and co-designing solutions to help communities overcome behavioral health access challenges.
- Identifying critical gaps in programs and services to improve the behavioral health of individuals and communities.
- Providing training for behavioral health providers to effectively advance equity and promote client activation among individuals from communities experiencing behavioral health inequities.
- Developing strategies to help address the social determinants of behavioral health which are exacerbated by racism.
