Project Overview
As a core partner within the Substance Abuse Prevention and Control (SAPC) division of the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health, CIBHS serves as a specialized technical hub supporting the nation’s largest public health system. Our role is to translate county policy into effective, high-quality provider-level practice.
Needs
Los Angeles County’s extensive Substance Use Disorder (SUD) treatment network requires coordinated support to meet evolving performance expectations, maintain quality, and address persistent inequities in access to care. Providers benefit from integrated technical assistance that aligns clinical, operational, and administrative practices with county goals.
Approach
CIBHS is fully embedded within the Department’s infrastructure and works in close partnership with county leadership as a team of subject matter experts. We deliver comprehensive training and technical assistance that strengthens provider capacity, improves system performance, and supports continuous quality improvement across the SUD continuum of care.
